چکیده
The aim of this study is to evaluate the ability vertical Multi-Soil-Layering filter (V-MSL) remove indicators fecal pollution from domestic wastewater under Moroccan conditions. To do this, a V-MSL measuring 20 cm deep, 60 wide, 78 high was installed near guardian's house Razi’s middle school in Meknes treat wastewater. Three hydraulic loads (250 L/m 2 /day, 350 /day and 500 /day) were tested. This showed an average reduction (97.5 ± 0.3)%, (97.7 0.4)% (96.0 0.7)%, for total coliforms, coliforms streptococci, respectively. performance not affected lot when changing head 250 /day. bacterial load concentrations at outlet are slightly higher than WHO recommended standard (1000 CFU / 100mL) reuse irrigation. remedy situation, we recommend adoption principle treatment excreta source by use dry toilets gray water only filter.

Efficiency of a Multi-Soil-Layering System on Wastewater Treatment Using Environment-Friendly Filter Materials
The multi-soil-layering (MSL) system primarily comprises two parts, specifically, the soil mixture layer (SML) and the permeable layer (PL). In Japan, zeolite is typically used as the permeable layer material. In the present study, zeolite was substituted with comparatively cheaper and more environmentally friendly materials, such as expanded clay aggregates, oyster shells, and already-used gra...

Background: Constructed wetlands are systems designed based on the utilization of natural processes, including vegetation, soil, and their associated microbial assemblage to assist in treating different types of wastewater. Methods: Two local Appalachian plants (Louis latifolia and Phragmites australis) were planted into smallscale constructed wetlands to treat domestic wastewater in the North ...
متن کاملVegetation effects on fecal bacteria, BOD, and suspended solid removal in constructed wetlands treating domestic wastewater
Constructed wetlands have emerged as a viable alternative for secondary treatment of domestic wastewater in areas with landscape limitations, poor soil conditions, and high water tables, which limit installation of full-scale adsorption fields. Existing information on the effects of macrophytes on treatment performance is contradictory and mostly derived from greenhouse mesocosm experiments. Th...
متن کاملPollutant removal by Canna Generalis in tropical constructed wetlands for domestic wastewater treatment
Constructed wetlands have not been commonly used in Vietnam due to the lack of information in the selection of proper types of constructed wetlands, type of reeds, design parameters and performance efficiency, in tropical climates. This paper focuses on Canna generalis, which is a common reed and easy to grow both in water and wet land conditions. Two kinds of hybrid constructed wetlan...

Background: Wastewater produced by a dairy in Sanandaj is a major source of environmental pollution threatening the city. The dairy uses activated sludge treatment to remove organic pollution from the wastewater. The present study evaluated the performance of this process and its compliance with national requirements for chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), and total s...
